A company dealing in traveling nurses called ‘Jogan Health Solutions’ was recently called out for paying their traveling nurses incorrect comments or not paying them at all. The entire scandal made it to the news early this month, but it was TikToker Heidi Al-Sahsah aka @Bravely_Living who brought it to the world's attention first with her viral TikToks.
The videos tell the story of Al-Sahsah working for the company to repair their broken payroll, and eventually finding some discrepancies that she pointed out to the company. When doing so, the company told her to ignore it, but then she got an angry email telling her to stick to her job, then they tried to write her up for not responding to an email fast enough, and then they tried to get two of her shifts to be 8am to midnight.
A landslide of toxicity for one workday, so of course she walked out on the job. Al-Sahsah posted the original video on Jan. 19 recounting the story. The video gained over a million views and she eventually added two update videos on the situation.
In her updates she shares a suspicious text she later got from the company, basically saying they implemented the kind of system that Al-Sahsah had suggested while working for them. However, she adds in the video that she never saw anybody with that name working for the company and that specific “time clock” app they were using would still required them to put in worker information manually, thus defeating the purpose.
She also adds that the company started to bombard her with texts and emails asking her to sign up for the new payroll system, even though she had already quit weeks prior. She suspected it was with the sole purpose to show her so she couldn't get them in trouble. As mostly a joke, she applied to the new payroll system her ex-company had just started using.
In all her initial TikToks Al-Sahsah never actually says the name of the company. But, the story of this company's potential wage theft made it to the news in early Feb. and Al-Sahsah posted the entire segment, broken up into several different TikTok posts, on her profile, clearly revealing who the company was. She adds in one of her updates, that even though she doesn't work for the company anymore and still is unhappy with them, she's glad she was able to make a positive difference in the entire situation.
