    Our road is sadly notorious for having people dump their animals on it. In this case,

    She's obviously been around humans before, as she came right to us and wanted to be held.

    grandmother Ruth (primary resident of the ranch) was such a sweetheart: She would make sure that they were okay. Make sure they were spayed and neutered. Make sure they had food. Make sure they had a veterinary care.

    At one point I think she had about six dogs and maybe 15 cats that she looked after. We almost always had kittens in the spring until we caught the last 2 feral cats to have them fixed. They all lived long happy lives.
