I spent two years secretly learning Spanish to eavesdrop on my "toxic" coworkers, only to discover something deeply embarrassing.

I kinda love this story because he obtained a new, really useful skill purely out of spite. I mean, the end justifies the means, right? Of course, I think there are many funny ways to come clean about his Spanish skills, but I should take into consideration that the guy said he was introverted. I think that’s what got him into this mess in the first place. His coworkers specifically said he seemed ‘closed off’; probably that’s why they didn’t integrate him right off the bat.

Maybe this was the only way possible in which he could finally break free from his paranoid, introverted ways. He had to find out very bluntly how other people see him and try to let that information sink in. He was lucky to find out that people actually pitied him and weren’t looking at him as his paranoid thoughts told him. This would be a great opportunity to break the cycle and not let his paranoia win, to take steps towards communication instead of taking them in the direction of lonely schemes. Do you think he’ll be able to do that?
