Let me tell you about the other day when I couldn't stop crying for two hours because I was thinking about my sweet fur baby girl who passed over six years ago. Maybe that will convince you to let me pet my dog.
Well, I came across a video that said dogs and humans have the same chemical reaction that mothers have with their newborn babies. Which then led me to realize I was a grieving mother. Which then took me down the path of scrolling through the old photo album I have of videos and photos of my late baby, and wow, grief is wild. Anyways, two hours later, I had to put the photo album down and start to try and reenter society. Luckily, I live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood, and a quick walk down the street and I have lots of dogs to pet. That always makes me feel better. So just think about it this way: if you let me pet your dog, you're actually helping heal my heart a little. That's great humanitarian work, bestie!
