Boss Fires Bride on the Monday After Her Wedding, Despite Telling Her Months Ago That it Was Okay to Take Time Off Before Her Wedding

Talk about bad luck! 

There is seldom a good time to get fired. If you were planning on quitting your job the same day that your boss lays you off, that's literally the only time it's preferable, because at least you have a good chance of getting a nice severance package that would be more than the two weeks of pay you'd get after putting in your two-week notice. 

If you hate your job and dread coming into work every day, you might think that you want to get fired, but if you don't have any sort of financial backup plan or savings, you will regret ever wishing to lose the job you hated. 

The worst time to get fired is when you're going through a major life event outside of work. For me, I wouldn't have been able to deal with the tragic and upsetting events in my life very well if I didn't have the structure of getting up in the morning, going to work, and doing my best that day. On the other hand, I wouldn't have fared well during major life events and vacations without my income. It would be way too stressful.

The #1 worst time to lose your job is when you're about to have a new baby, but your wedding has got to be the 2nd worst time. It's supposed to be one of the best times in your life, but any number of factors, from venue issues to pushy mothers-in-law, make it challenging. The bride in this story didn't even get to go on a honeymoon before getting axed at her company.
