• Curaçao is one of the first examples of hope the World Cup has gifted us. We are talking about a country with the amount of citizens there is on a big city. And for the first time, their team made into one of the most important tournaments to exist. And if that wasn't wholesome enough, their story does not end there; their coach prepared them for the season for months, sadly he had to leave to take care of his ill daughter, hope was not lost. Her daughter got better and he made it back for the World Cup. They played their first match against Germany, and let me tell you I'm no football expert but I am old enough to know that Germany has won 7 World Cups, so it was definitely not an easy start. But they showed up, scored a goal and made it into everyone's heart.
