How can anyone not adore cats?

Cats have been adored by humanity for millennia. We didn't domesticate them - cats domesticated us, turned us into their servants, and have been acting like they're our royalty since the times of ancient Egypt (and possibly even before, but that's a topic for another day). And we? We're happy to serve our feline overlords. We do it with glee in our hearts and a smile on our faces - we pamper, we pander, we answer their every whim, want, and desire. And it makes us just as happy as it makes our cats.

What's not to like about cats? Cats are fluffy, their fur is purrfectly smooth, and they actually let us pet them. Cats are funny, never failing to make us laugh with their endless antics (yes, even if it costs us a mug or two, or perhaps the living room curtains).
