  • What I'm a little surprised about is that he specifically wants me to attend the meeting as well.
  • His reasoning was that I've been raising these concerns from the beginning, I've experienced the problem firsthand, and he trusts me to explain what's actually happening on the ground.

  • The thing is, this top supervisor from the other company, let's call him Shawn, m35. He may appear friendly and polite outside but he literally talks down to his own.

  • That's literally part of my job. He's very protective of his own department and employees. If something goes wrong, his first instinct is often to explain it away,
  • minimize it, or redirect attention somewhere else instead of acknowledging the problem. Sometimes he doesn't even know
  • half the problems that happen under his nose which makes it even better because what do you mean you didn't know one of your employers damaged a truck and you found out two weeks later about it!
