Potential buyers of house next door want coworker to park on street!

Coworker's (CW) driveway is between her and the neighbors(NB) house. NB is selling their house to move closer to their daughter since they are older and need help. CW was sitting at home watching TV when someone started ringing doorbell.

She ignored it for a few minutes but they kept ringing it. Finally CW answers the door. She is greeted by a couple(EC) in their 40s and their realtor. EC asked if CW

always parks in her driveway. CW says yes that's where she always parks. EC wife says that won't work and if they are to buy the house next door she has to agree to park in the street from now on. Her reason....

Because CW starting her truck would wake her up in the mornings since the master bedroom is right next to the driveway. The

sellers had told them she tends to work 7 days a week during the winter (she does work a lot during winter). CW drives a well maintained Nissan Frontier that isn't loud in any way just for clarification. CW

park on street if EC buys the house. It even included penalties if she didn't. They told NB that was only thing stopping them from

The house will sell fast for full asking price so not a big deal to NB.

MutedAstronaut9217 Hit em with the uno reverse contract. "You can rent my driveway space for $1,500/mo, 12mo min terms, penalties for early termination"

SweetMaam You can park in your own driveway. That's just crazy. Now did that Contract offer a million dollars for no vehicles in the driveway? If not, then no deal.
  • 16
kynwatch71 OP Nope they offered nothing. I couldn't believe it when she was telling me.
  • 17
rosebbelle The fact that their realtor actually drafted and sent that contract instead of telling them they're being completely insane is the most shocking part.

Enough-Reindeer1033 Good grief.... That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of a buyer trying to do.
