Your bed has the superpower to make everything else feel less urgent. People are even willing to risk arriving late to work and other important places just to enjoy five more minutes in bed.

I get it, mornings are hard. And they are even harder when it's cold outside. You're warm and comfortable, so the idea of leaving your cozy bed feels unreasonable. It is not easy to step out of your comfort zone, especially when your comfort zone is this warm and soft. But the moment the alarm rings, your blanket has some very convincing arguments to stay exactly where you are. This blanket understands me. The outside world can wait. It's not that important after all. Those errands, emails, and responsibilities will still be there five minutes later.

"Once I’m in bed I am not moving 😭"

Everything feels negotiable when you have to get up. Your sleepy brain can always find a convenient solution just to sleep a little more. You have a medical appointment? That can wait; they usually make you wait anyway. You have an email to answer? You can do that in an hour and it sounds just fine. Everything feels easy to reschedule when you're safe under the blankets.

The moment I am in bed, I would sacrifice almost anything for warmth and comfort. That is when I'm at my most vulnerable. I would accept whatever you offer to stay a little longer. My better-slept future self will solve everything anyway.

Personally, I don't like setting a bunch of alarms. Sleeping and waking up 5 times over the course of an hour? Not cool. Not my way of starting the day. I'd rather set one alarm and get up the moment it goes off. It's not easy either, but at least it gets the job done without suffering for a long period of time.
