Man with an injured arm goes through physical therapy. -
"Saw a similar post that reminded me of this gem of a woman. Details may be fuzzy due to my bad memory lol
About 10 years ago, I had svrgery on my broken shoulder. I decided to take a trip to Las Vegas about 6 weeks afterwards. Wearing my sling, I was able to board early to have a flight attendant store my carry-on, but as it was a packed flight, I wasn't able to change from a center seat. C'est la vie."

Passengers on an airplane looking down the aisle. -
What do you do when you are stuck with a broken shoulder and squeezed into a tight seat on an airplane? You make do and hope your passenger partner is a little forgiving. In fact, that should be common courtesy! If you are seated next to someone who is injured, maybe care a little for their well-being and give them a little extra space. What if you were in their position? It's called empathy! Luckily, this guy had no problem using public shame and letting the whole plane know about her behavior.

"Enter Entitled Woman. She had the aisle seat, which was the side of my sling. I had my arm on the armrest, trying to be comfortable best I could.
Now, I'm of the mind that the middle seat rider gets right of first refusal for the center armrests, as either side has their own benefits (window control vs ability to get up easily). Usually I don't care, but due to the svrgery I actually needed the armrest."

Row of airplane seats with armrests. -
"Almost immediately, this lady starts trying to jockey for the armrest. I don't relent, and she says something like, ‘This is my armrest. I was like I really need it, sorry.’ She continues and begins to get loud, complaining to her husband, who was in the aisle seat across from her. I finally raised my voice and said, 'Lady, I just had svrgery and need to rest my arm, please stop pushing me off the armrest!'”

Sometimes it just takes a stern voice to get your point across. To me, it's not debatable who was in the wrong here. This woman saw that this man had an injured arm and still chose herself over someone struggling much more than her. That's just heartless, and what makes humanity so cold. He had every right to shame her and be stern. Hopefully, she learned a little empathy from this experience, but hearing how she reacted, it seems unlikely.

Empty aisle of airline passengers on a flight. -
"Several passengers gave her a dirty look (no round of applause… this is a real story!) and she had the good grace to look chagrined and stopped telling me to give it to her.
It didn't stop her from opening her newspaper into my area, and sharing a homemade egg salad sandwich with her husband. Just a peach of a lady, amiright?"
