Everything is so dang expensive these days, you can't by the essentials without breaking the bank. "When will you have a baby? When are you going to buy a house? You should just quit that job you hate." IN THIS ECONOMY? If you can't understand why the response to all of those questions and demands is a huge eye roll, then you should pick up the check at your friends' dinner tonight. 

    Until we hit the jackpot, our bank is filled with LOLs, not $$$…

    • Money can't buy you happiness, but it sure can help you survive. If only we lived in a bartering system or something else that allows us all the necessities to survive, so we can focus on what makes us happy. I would LOVE to live by a babbling brook, paint and sing all day, and at night, howl at the moon, dance with my besties, and smooch the love of my life. However, that is not even a thought I can entertain because I have to focus on making rent and groceries. If I make that and don't even go into the negative before the next payday, that is a HUGE win. 

      So, excuUuUuUuUuse me if I need to laugh at it all and meme about being broke!

    • There is some strange air of camaraderie in the air right now, though. Like, our gov. has really messed everything up, so we're all in this together whether we like it or not, and the memes are proof! We wouldn't have such an abundance of hilarious memes about being broke and struggling if we weren't all in this together. So if we can gather in the masses and agree on certain memes, you'd think we'd be able to do that in another way…
