In my experience as a first-time homeowner, I've had to learn a lot of new things I had absolutely no idea about before moving in on my own. For example, all those little details hidden around the house that you never really notice, but they're actually there, and definitely for a good reason. Yes, I'm talking about screws. And that little thing that goes with the screw, and that tool you use to tighten it. Turns out there is a WIDE variety of screws. Different sizes, different shapes, different purposes…

There are plenty of other hidden things in the house. Okay, maybe not hidden. I know. But they were to me, until the moment I tried to hang a shelf on a wall or fix a door's handle on my own, and realized I had no idea what I was doing.
It's all part of the experience, but now I'm a real pro. I can hang stuff, and I know exactly what I need to buy to do it.
