• "Offered to dogsit my neighbor's dog for free while she was in hospital. Got a complaint about my "technique"

  My neighbor Linda is in her 60s, lives alone, has a golden retriever named Biscuit. She had a minor surgery last month and asked if I could walk and feed Biscuit for about 10 days."

• “I like dogs, I like Biscuit, I said sure, no problem, I won't take anything for it. I walked him twice a day, fed him on schedule, even sent her little updates with photos because I figured she'd want to know he was okay. It went fine.”

• "She gets back home, thanks me, all good. Three days later she knocks on my door and says she wanted to "mention something." Apparently Biscuit has been a little low energy since she got back and she thinks it's because I was walking him on a leash that was "too loose" and he didn't get proper stimulation."

• "She had asked her vet and the vet said energy changes after a routine change are normal but she had "a feeling" it was my walking style. She then asked if next time I could walk him with more "intention" and maybe research some enrichment techniques beforehand."

  Your neighbor is ridiculous!! You walked and fed her dog FOR TEN DAYS!!! She should be baking you a thank you gift and being oh so grateful that you did anything at all!!!!

  I kept telling myself she probably just doesn't realize how it came across but yeah, ten days, twice a day, photo updates. a simple thank you was enough I wasn't expecting a parade

  Wow. Maybe let her know my friend is paying 120$ per day for a dog hotel whenever she is away. You took care of the dog for 10 days for FREE and she has the nerve to lecture you?

  You know, if the dog is acting low energy, maybe it’s because he’s tired from getting lots of awesome walks from OP. Maaaybe it’s Linda that’s not giving Biscuit the workout that he needs, and that’s why she’s used to him being overhyped up?
