I personally don't listen to playlists, but to full albums. So, depending on my mood, I choose an artist, an album, and vibe all the way through it. There's something special about listening to albums from start to finish (and yes, pressing the shuffle button in this situation should be illegal). Albums feel different because you experience music the way the artist intended it to be heard, telling a story or creating a mood in a way you might miss if you listened to each song mixed in with tracks from other artists.

Anyway, long drives are perfect for listening to full albums, but sometimes we just want to match a certain mood, and that's when playlists come in. Playlists are perfect for those moments when we don't know what to play, or maybe we know the mood we want to feel but not the artist, so a well-thought-out playlist saves the day.

For true music lovers, songs are more than just background noise. They're tied to memories, feelings, and specific moments in time. Listening to a song can even teleport you to a moment. In my case, every time I listen to “Last Train to London”, it sends me back to the time I was at an Arctic Monkeys concert, waiting for the band to come on stage. That was the song they played just before coming out, and I was singing with my friends, feeling that mix of excitement and anticipation, hearts racing, knowing the concert was about to start at any moment. And that moment has stayed with me ever since.
