Rainy weather is basically a cat's ideal setup.

April showers hit and cats settle in without much thought. Rain on the windows, darker light, everything a little quieter. They'll sit by the window for a bit, watch the drops fall, then turn away like that's all they needed. No interest in going out, no second look. Inside is better.

They pick a spot early and stick with it. Blanket, couch corner, bed, whatever feels soft and warm. Once they're down, they don't really move much. This cat clearly got caught outside and is not happy about it. You can see it all over their face. The rain shows up and suddenly they’re stuck dealing with it like this wasn’t the plan at all. No interest in being out there, no patience for the situation. Just waiting for it to be over so they can get back inside where they belong.

The best thing about April showers is the tiny cat raincoats. Little jackets, little hoods, and a cat standing there like this was not the plan. They look both cute and slightly annoyed at the same time. It’s such a small thing, but it makes the whole rainy day better.

Cats under an umbrella look like they’ve completely opted out of the rain. Sitting there, dry, watching everything happen around them like it has nothing to do with them. No interest in moving, no patience for getting wet. They just stay put, tucked under the umbrella, waiting it out.
