Seriously, this is mesmerizing to look at. The Candy Mantic reminds us of the Pardalota Reimer, one of the most colorful animals on the planet that we wrote about here recently - and it's also a bug. Somehow, it seems, Mother Nature gives the most amazing colors to phobia-inducing animals. But you know what? We're on board with that. It gives us much extra needed motivation to research about them and learn that they're beautiful, and there's nothing to fear.

This computer game-esque meme reminded us of the amazing possibility of actually playing a bug-ish creature. We recently ran a D&D campaign that was centered around animalistic characters:
So one was playing a Kenku Rogue. The Kenku are small crow people, perfect for stealth and infiltration.
One was playing a Vanara Monk, hilariously called Monky. The Vanara are Monkey people, so the name pun was on point with their chosen class.And then lastly, one player was a mere human, but a Druid of the Circle of Pestilence. It's those druids who are commonly referred to as Vermin Lords, as they prefer the caress of the crawling legs of an insect or the fluttering wings of a fly more than human contact. They played so hard into the vile bug person, changing their shape into a swarm of bugs more often than not, and instilling fear into their enemies' hearts. Now that is a bug worth fearing… and they're human.
