    A Mouthful of Hilarious Cooking Memes for Amateur Chefs

    The fact that so many of us have a range of options to choose from for our meals is nothing short of a privilege, but it doesn't always feel that way.

    Much of this comes from the fact that there is almost too much for us to consider, not least if we have to take on the duty of buying the groceries and cooking the meal ourselves. In some ways, it would be preferable if we only had a couple of choices that only required the most basic of preparation skills. Instead, so many of us get overwhelmed by the seemingly simple question of "what's for dinner?" considering all the different factors that go into having to cook our own meals and potentially those of others as well.

    • Perhaps this is a part of the reason the cooking memes remain so popular. They give us an excuse to laugh at the stressful mental load of preparing something good to eat day after day. Through them, we can find something funny in our kitchen disasters, and feel blessed that we do not have the lack of cooking skill that other people are sometimes cursed with. Truly, we are fortunate to be living in a time where even the stuff that we use to nourish our bodies can be turned into a dumb joke. It takes something that is often an overwhelming responsibility, and shows us that others have experienced those exact same stresses and gain the exact same joys from food.
