Who doesn't love dining outside on a really nice day? You get all the lovely benefits of a restaurant, as well as a sunny spot to sit and chat with your family or friends. That's what was on the minds of this group, who showed up ready to celebrate a birthday.
Now, they made an innocent mistake. It could happen to anyone! But the shocking results of bringing along a big bundle of mylar birthday balloons zapped all the fun out of this celebration.
Alright, I think I've made enough electricity-related word choices for now. Let's read this electrifying story!

This is insane
Who knew that a single bunch of balloons could cause so much havoc!?
The restaurant lost power of the fridges. Forget about the lights being out — that's just a little twinge of annoyance in comparison to losing week's worth of food prep. I mean, if you have to toss every food in the fridge, you probably have to close the restaurant entirely for a couple days to replenish everything.
These customers aren't really to blame for bringing their balloons, but everything they did afterwards really didn't do anything to make up for their mistakes. What a shame. Should they have gotten a lifetime ban for that? Hmmm…..

This is wild to me. How could you possibly show your face again in a restaurant where you ruined their entire afternoon? (Oh, and the hotel next door, where dozens of rooms were probably so confused as to where the power went).
In their defense, maybe they don't think they did anything wrong. I suppose it was unintentional. But there were still real and dramatic consequences to such a mistake.
Some folks are blissfully oblivious! I hope they tip exceedingly well!
