Another day, another dollar. And another dollar, another hour of your life churned over to this capitalistic underworld. But wait, what is this? A beacon of hope and light in a cavernous pit of doom and gloom? It's memes! A chance to laugh at anything and everything. A respite that provides giggles and joy. Have you ever had a free day, with nothing to do, and you wake up naturally, no alarm, very slowly get out of bed, maybe even rot in it a little longer than usual? Then you make yourself a sugary breakfast that feels more nourishing than that healthy smoothie you always make in the morning because you are on the go go go. You sit around sipping your coffee and watching the stillness outside of the window. You might wonder what you should do for the day or you might be satisfied having no plans. Eventually, you decide to take a nice long shower, get dressed, and go for a walk. You just let your feet take you wherever! If you see a little store you want to check out, you allow yourself to pop in, do a little shopping. Maybe you pass a cute little cafe and decide you deserve a little treat! You do deserve that little treat. This day is completely for you! Sometimes you need a day completely dedicated to me, myself, and I. Period.
Scrolling through memes, even for five minutes, gives you the tinies glimpse of that feeling of freedom. The tiniest, but still a LOL-filled glimpse.
