    Cat who fell from balcony railing and disappeared for 5 days found in landfill next to home after pawrent’s father heard desperate meows, cat mom says: ‘Took me around 4 hours to rescue her, hurt my arm in the process’

    Cats are not known for falling,but that is exactly what happened to one cat who uncharacteristically fell off a balcony only to be found several days later in a place that they could not jump out off.

    Ues, the irony is not lost on us. The two things that cats are known for, balance and jumping, were exactly what this cat was lacking or unable to do. Had they been able to do one or the other then there would hardly be a story to tell but alas here we are with one heck of a feline story to tell.

    For when our cat mom came to visit the sweet cat child she had to leave behind in her home country she would have never imagined that the limited time she had with her cat child would be spent searching for it. But that is what happened when the cat unceremoniously fell off the balcony and was not to be seen for another five days.

    • These moments are the worst and they happen far too often to us cat pawrents. You leave your cat alone for two seconds and come back to them being gone. Usually they will be found in one of those secret hiding spots, though finding them in such spots is tough because these crafty cattos know how to play the statue game on expert mode. Meaning that you can be staring right at them, but still not notice that they are there. But after checking a few of their favorite spots, that is when the nerves really start kicking in and hope begins to fade as it must have for this pawrent.

    • We cannot imagine the desperation that this pawrent must have felt. Especially when being in such a situation where you can no longer live close to your cat children, the little time they are willing to spend with you is worth its weight in gold. And here you have a cat who is totally lost, this pawrent must have been going out of her mind. And honestly, while we do not advocate for the use of GPS trackers on cats, this is one scenario that no cat pawrent wants to get to, but one that each and every pawrent, ourselves included, would be super happy to have some ability to track their cat.
