Remember when Y2K and Nigerian Princes were the only things to worry about when going online? Wow. What a time to exist in. Now, the internet has so many more dark places to end up in… But not all! You know we love our memes and cat content. We also LOVE reading stories about sweet old grannies pulling the rug out from under a scammer!

The grandson of this grandmother walked into a situation bracing himself for the worst. He heard his granny mention the Nigerian Prince who told her that he came across millions of dollars for her and her alone. He just needs several hundred dollars to process the transfer fees and to send it over to her, etc. Many people fell for this trick back then (and still do apparently???)… But not this grandma! This granny got game.

She took that scammer's scam and said, “Actually, how about YOU give me your money?” She didn't actually get any money out of it, unfortunately. But she did, however, waste a lot of that scammer's precious time and that is even more valuable in the grand scheme of things! He could have been scamming a more gullible person with that time and making hundreds of dollars. Instead, he was neck and neck with the solitaire-playing, tech-savvy grandma from the turn of the century! Now, he has nothing to show for his scam except wasted hours on the phone. We love it!
