Sometimes we look at our cats, and it feels like they have their whole future figured out. Granted, their future mainly consists of bird watching, napping, eating, spending hours in their litter box, and screaming at the top of their lungs, but even so, their schedule is pretty much set for life.
What we admire most about our cats' ability to plan their entire day, week, and month is that no matter what we do, they don't change a thing. If their internal schedule says that it's time to sleep, they don't care what we do around them; they will be soundly sleeping. If their schedule tells them it is time for breakfast, it matters not that it's five in the morning; they will stand on our faces and meow at us until we get up and provide their breakfast. The schedule is air-tight.
While we do not love being woken up in the middle of the night because the schedule says it's playtime, we can't help but appreciate how committed our fur babies are to the tasks they have at hand, and we would love to use it as inspiration for our own lives.
During the week, our schedule is quite set. We wake up, eat breakfast, work, and enjoy our quiet evening with the family. But during the weekend, we tend to get lost without setting a schedule and planning what we want to do ahead of time. This is why we want to follow our cats' lead and decide what we want to do in advance. And no matter what happens, we do not change our plans. If we decide we want to have a picnic at the park on Sunday, we will have a picnic at the park on Sunday. And if we decide we want to stay in bed all of Saturday, absolutely nothing can get us out of there; the schedule does not budge.
Another activity we already know must appear in the schedule of every weekend in the future, is scrolling through our weekly collection of hisstercial cat memes, like the ones down below!
