    Resident stray cat finally rescued from the cold by coworker, only to be accused by other entitled employees of stealing the highlight of their day: 'Their happiness around seeing this cat is more important than the cat’s wellbeing'

    If they really cared about the cat, they would put its health and safety before their own needs. Any other response is nothing other than selfish.

    If we could, we would adopt all the stray cats in our neighborhood, nay, the world, and bring them into our home so that they would never have to experience hunger or being cold ever again. However, we don't have millions of dollars for unlimited cat litter and food, so we can't. We adopt them when we have the space, try to find homes for them if we can't take them in, feed them, and try to give them as much love as pawssible. This way, they're more likely to adapt easily to an indoor life. We miss them when they get adopted, or run away, but we would never intentionally keep them stray just so we could enjoy their company, which is what these entitled employees want. They had a resident stray cat outside their workplace that some of them adored, but as the temperatures started dropping, one kind coworker decided to take the plunge and make her a purrmanent pet. The response from their coworkers purrfectly dumbfounded us beyond all doubt. All we can say is, they're not true cat people.

    • If they really want the joy and purrks of petting a cat every day, there are plenty of cats living in shelters right now who would be happy to fill their home with love and cat fur. However, they don't really want a cat, they want to be able to pet a cat, give it a bit of food, and then forget about it. They're not thinking of the cold nights it has to spend alone. They're not thinking about its health or it getting proper care. They're only thinking about themselves, and it makes us sick.

He has a home. Leave him back in the parking lot. When it was freezing outside - literally 13 degrees — nothing was done to ensure that cat was warm and safe.       Anonymous member 3h⚫ Thank you to whomever actually took the cat and got it help. Yes it was fun to pet but it needed help. No one ever confirmed the "rumor" the cat had a home and was chipped and the owners were contacted. Obviously that was just a rumor or even worse a lie.     • If they would use even 1% of their brain, they would be able to connect the fact that the employee posting the cat on a lost & found chat was their way of making sure the cat wasn't lost, or a runaway. But they seem to be even incapable of that, and jump to the conclusion that they rescued Meowz just to give them away.

      9m. Im upset about the cat for admittedly selfish reasons, I really liked him being outside during breaks and helped me chill sometimes. Grateful that hes getting medicine if needed.       This isn't about "taking someone's pet." It's about an animal that was living outside, sick, and exposed to harsh weather finally being helped and the way = that situation is now being handled by some people at this building is honestly disappointing.
