A lot of y'all are new and it shows. 19 Like Comment 25 comments Send 23h Let me learn you something For years, there's been a cat at our Amazon facility (named "Meowz") who has become a familiar presence in my day - everyone's day actually. Greeting people at shift start, hanging around during breaks, and existing comfortably in the space he clearly knows well. He's been consistently fed by worker... more Missy Hosford + 27 42 comments Like Comment Send → All-star cont

Top contributor 1d. TO THE PERSON WHO TOOK MEOWZ You posting him on a lost and found group is wrong. I'm not even a cat person but meows has been here coming and going as it pleases. He has a home. Leave him back in the parking lot. He literally lives nearby and we went through a whole thing over the holidays with management about his backstory.... more O Missy Hosford + 16 Like Comment 49 comments Send 1d⚫ Just seen this posted on Wilson county, Tennessee Lost and found Cat found in Mt. 11h · | If the cat truly had owners, they would have been at MQY1 every single day looking for it. Period. So please let's stop with this narrative. I am incredibly upset that the cat is gone. When it was freezing outside - literally 13 degrees — nothing was done to ensure that cat was warm and safe. That is what matters. - Instead of being angry at someone who took action, please recognize that they were trying to make sure the cat had a warm place to be during dangerous weather. I truly hope t

Anonymous member 3h⚫ Thank you to whomever actually took the cat and got it help. Yes it was fun to pet but it needed help. No one ever confirmed the "rumor" the cat had a home and was chipped and the owners were contacted. Obviously that was just a rumor or even worse a lie. Good thing animal control didnt get her before a loving human that works here did 11 7 comments Like Comment Send 10h ⚫ Why take the cat to rehome it?? 9m. Im upset about the cat for admittedly selfish reasons, I really liked him being outside during breaks and helped me chill sometimes. Grateful that hes getting medicine if needed. Hopefully after the meds are done hes brought back to where he was. Hope everyone has a good day. 2 Like 1 comment Comment Send All-star contributor 41m. I just want to say that bullying and name calling isn't a flex. Time to move on from the Meowz topic. A lot of us WILL miss him. Everyone have a great day. 4 Like

For those wondering what's going on at the building with the cat that's been around for years, here's what's actually happening: This cat has been living around the building for a long time.

Over the years, people have said they heard the cat might belong to someone nearby or that it was chipped, but nothing was ever confirmed.

The cat continued to be outside through extreme weather, including freezing temperatures. Recently, one person finally took the cat because of the cold and concern for its health.
  • 11
They took the cat to the vet, checked for a microchip (there was none), and the vet found the cat had multiple infections.

That person paid out of pocket for the cat's care and also posted on Lost & Found pages to try and locate any possible owner.
  • 13
Now, instead of focusing on the fact that the cat is finally getting medical care and is safe, that person is being harassed at work.
  • 14
There are threats being made about their job and people talking about calling the police, even though there is no confirmed owner, no microchip, and no proof the cat belonged to anyone.

This building has known about this cat for years. A lot of people fed it and interacted with it, but no one officially claimed responsibility for it.
  • 16
The one person who actually stepped up to get the cat out of freezing conditions and into medical care is now being targeted for it.
  • 17
This isn't about "taking someone's pet." It's about an animal that was living outside, sick, and exposed to harsh weather finally being helped and the way = that situation is now being handled by some people at this building is honestly disappointing.

People say that they won't get to see the cat everyday, or pet it and it brightened their day. Are saying their happiness around seeing this cat is more important than the cat's wellbeing.
