Let's have a look at some of the funniest, freshest cake mistakes I could find. Now, some of these are homemade cakes, which I always find more delightful than actually irritating. After all, trying and failing in artistic pursuits is a great way to create an everlasting inside joke with your besties! Just check out the Pokemon cake for a great example of this. This person tried their hardest to create a Pokemon on the cake, but you know what? It's actually way harder than it looks to make a drawing with icing and cake as your paint and easel. Who knew!

This is how the various birthday boys and girls felt upon receiving their botched cakes!
Little girl looking disappointed at her birthday cake full of brightly lit candles while her friends stand beside her.

When you see it...
I do hope that this brought the entire party into hysterical laughter! It's so beautifully written… I hope Grandma Jim loved it.

The description really paints a picture
Many a bakery has this issue! Things look sooo good in the display cake, but then you realize that looks can be deceiving.

Steven PH!
The image does not depict the actual subjects of the story. Subjects are models.

This does look quite complex
B+ for effort!
This person could easily get their money back with a credit card dispute, IMO. But yeah… maybe sticking their kid's favorite toy in the cake would've been the way to go. Much cheaper, and it would've probably delighted the birthday kiddo!

Pfffffft
They tried their very, very best.

Happy 129th birthday to you!
Very funny bit that your family has going on here — instead of asking the bakery to write on the cake, a service that is often done for free, they just inscribed it into the cake themselves. That's some outside-of-the-box thinking, much like adding 1+2 to equal 3, since this person is neither 129 nor 29 but 39. Goodness gracious.

This is hilarious
The "Sequrity" misspelling is sending me… somehow it's a little fancier that way. Perfect for a birthday cake.

Imagine taking a bite of the egg and chomping through 3 solid inches of fondant!

Who's that Pokemon?
It's Diglett! Great guess!
- 11
The soccer ball is on the the 50-yard line!

It gives the impression that your BF is going like this ?? ?? while he asks!
- 13
When I saw this, I went, "What do you mean, saga?"

It turns out that there's just a baker who doesn't have their your/you're quite figure out yet!
It's easy! You're = you + are. That's it. Any time you need to guess if it's you're or your, just place "you are" in it's place. That's your free grammar lesson for the day, kids!
Anyway, I am imploring this person to continue to share this cookie cake monsters' work with us, because it is unintentionally very funny.

Oh NO!
This person shared that the cake was meant to cheer up their brother and sister-in-law during a difficult time of their lives. The SIL always wanted to try a "vacherin cake," which is apparently a Food Network famous dessert. For $200, though, I'd still eat this in goop form or frozen form! I hope they all still managed to enjoy it, and hopefully get a good laugh out of a bad situation.

This is visually stunning in all the wrong ways
The obviously botched looking birthday message is clear, yes. BUt then there's the massive swirls that almost reach the middle of the cake. There's the loopy-looking swirls around the entire outside that just look… amateurish. There's that silver leaf (just one!) that doesn't actually look edible. Wow. Just wow.
