But this other woman showed up like she was playing a competitive minigame where the goal is to emotionally disarm the target while stealing their stuff. Instead of waiting she just starts breathing down someone’s neck hovering over their hands like she has shares in the object. First the jewelry box then the picture frame then everything in between. She is not even pretending to be other customers the rest of the room are just background characters in her personal shopping sitcom.

That is when our girl decides to play a different game. Instead of arguing instead of trying to teach the woman basic etiquette she just leans into the logic of the situation. If you want a table of junk this badly fine you can have the whole thing. She grabs a box and turns the table into a hostile takeover. Every frame every book every ceramic animal goes into the cart like she is not buying decor she is buying karma. The woman who imagined herself the sneaky winner suddenly realizes she just lost everything because someone else got tired of the performance.

The real telltale we got about our heroine is what happens when she gets home. She sorts through the haul keeps a handful of items she actually likes and donates the rest. She did not need the stuff. She needed the principle.

Of course she is on solid ground here. She is just the person who figured out that sometimes the most satisfying revenge is letting someone watch their entire style empire get carted away in one box.
