    Neglected foster pup overcomes crippling fear and malnourishment to win foster father’s heart, resulting in adoption into a fur family with two cats, a dog and a bird: ‘He’s so silly for a dog that was hardly alive when we got him.’

    Foster pups often do not find their furever homes in the houses they have been placed in. But after one foster pawrent devoted themselves to rehabilitating a dog who had grown up hungry and in fear of the world, they simply could not give up on the pupper and had to adopt him for themselves.

    It is truly a tale of doggo devotion this one, and we are truly floored by this hooman's love and dedication to doggos. It takes a special kind of person to take on a puppy who has known nothing by terror and bad times for the whole of its short life. You have so many issues to contend with, ranging from instinctive and protective behaviors that the pupper has picked up, to destructive tendencies that the poor puppy might have picked up to dissipate some of the trauma it was being subjected to.

    And through all that you have to remain loving and understanding. It is certainly not for everyone this title, but this hooman made it clear that it was for them as even after their decision to hold on to the wonderful pupper whose life they saved, they still wanted to help other puppers get settled into their healthy home lives.

    • Goodness what a rough hand to be dealt the moment that you begin your life. It is beyond our reckoning to even imagine what that must be like. Brought into a world ruled by hoomans and to be treated as less than nothing for the first few months of your life. Thankfully though there is very little that a good dose of love and adoration cannot make up for and heal. And with the loving care and support of this pupper’s new foster pawrent we are sure that this pupper will soon learn that a raised hand is nothing to fear.

    • Ah there we go, that is the news that we were hoping to hear. After all that this sweet puppy has been through it would be such a sad development if he had not found himself and started healing under the care of his new pawrent. While it might seem counter intuitive some dogs do not manage to make any sort of recovery after being scarred at such a young age. It takes a deep and dedicated kind of love and attention to help a poor pupper come back from that. Not to mention the incredible progress of potty training in a matter of days. That is one heck of a turnaround.
