Much of the East Coast got his with wild amounts of snow recently. Honestly, this isn't anything too new for us, it has just been a while since we've had to endure this. Back in 2016, all we had to do was get a Hot Toddy at the local dive. Now, it's 2026, a decade later, and a snow day means we still have to work? That feels bonkers to me. Sure, some of us can work from home, but some of us still have to figure out how to now slip and slide all the way to the trains.

Speaking of trains, they are late even when the weather is perfect. Now that it's the snowmageddon we have some trains taking three hours just to go two stops. TWO STOPS. That's like 20 years in NYC time. You know how many stops I have to hit before I reach my stop to get to work? Ten, TEN. And that is a very low number of stops compared to others. But can you imagine trying to get ten stops and it takes three hours just to go two?? Sorry, boss. I'm not coming in.

Have you seen the streets? Why do office workers still need to come in? The snow plows have not reached me yet, so how do you expect me to reach you? This has nothing to do with driving, because if the roads are still pretty bad, just imagine the sidewalks and subways? You'd think the subways would be your go-to, but for some reason, being underground does not change their dreary outcome of still being useless during snowstorms…

We love to laugh and we hate to commute to work in the snow. If we had a sled with adorable and well-trained sled dogs, then we'd be happy to get to the office! But, unfortunately, that is not something you do in a city… Instead, I'm commuting in the trenches. At least we have memes to laugh about it all!!
