Rescued mom cat reunites with her long-lost kitten daughters after having been abandoned multiple times by different neighbors, now together again, caring for each other like true family

A reunion to remember - a mom cat and her two daughters.

It's not often that you come across a story as crazy as this one. We have seen cat reunions. We love stories about cats reuniting with their owners - a few weeks missing, a year missing, seven years missing. We have even seen stories of cats reuniting with their siblings. But the circumstances of this reunion are ones that we don't think that we have ever come across, and quite frankly, we hope it never has to happen again.

The reason that so many cats were so far apart from one another, yet living in the same region, is the fact that the people who abandoned these cats were all the same. The mother, the older daughter and the younger one - all abandoned by the same humans. And all rescued by the same humans as well. Two sides of the same coin. Kind people and truly the opposite. But we don't want to focus on the bad. We want to focus on the fact that somehow, despite everything that has happened to them, and despite the different timelines, these cats managed to find their way back into each other's lives. That is all that matters now.

This has got to be one of the saddest, most horrible things that we have ever heard. An entire family was in their hands, so many opportunities to do the right thing, and they decided to abandon all of these family members - individually no less - without ever giving a heck about their fate. People like this will forever baffle us. With all that said, the fact that these kitties went through all of this and still, with your help, found their way back to one another… it just makes their reunion that much more emotional and impactful. And it makes us that much more thankful to you.

We think that people need to be properly educated about the other options. We can't continue letting people think that abandoning animals is the best thing that they can do. People can look for other families to adopt them or foster them. People can give the cats to shelters. People can leave the cats at the vet's and let the people there figure out what to do with them. Anything is better than abandoning a cat, especially one who doesn't know anything about living and surviving in the big, open world. These cats have such low chances of making it, and that's something that people need to be well aware of before they do things so drastic.
