So I found my cat on Wednesday, and found my new crazy neighbor. I just posted here yesterday about this, but this cant be an edit for that, this is a whole new level of crazy neighbor.

So today, I was walking down the street with my cat on a leash, she is an outdoor cat and she likes to go on walks (I know crazy), and we see my neighbor, now known as EN, walking with her autistic daughter.
  • 04
We keep walking along and we cross paths with her, and my cat being the sweetheart she is, she rubs up again EN and her daughter.

The daughters cool, I like her because she bent down to pet my cat and said "Kitty!" it was adorable, but EN on the other hand, she screamed and pulled her daughter away.

EN: Your "cat" just bit me! She said even though my cat doesn't bite, there was to mark, and I saw no blood anywhere.
  • 08
EN: GET THAT WILD ANIMAL AWAY FROM ME NOW! Me: Firstly, this is a domestic outdoor cat, secondly, my cat has never bitten anyone and is a sweetheart.

EN: Well, she bit me, I am going to file a report to the local heath department, and I'm going to get your cat taken away!
  • 10
Me: Ma'am I have tried to be respectful, but my cat doesn't bite, if you did actually get bit or scratched you should go and wash it out.
  • 11
EN: This neighborhood isn't safe with that cat around. Its a devil! She made a call to the local heath department and said something about a serious wild animal bite, I listened in, and once I got my info, I left.

Now I'm waiting to see if the people are actually going to come and take my cat away after I just got her back.

FairyFartDaydreams I think you might need to make kitty and indoor cat if you don't want to see her come to an unfortunate end. Walk her daily but make sure she is inside if you are not outdoors with her. Maybe build a cattery

Hiragirin I suggest you make your cat an indoor cat and just take it on leashed walks unless you want to risk the lady doing something worse. That's how my friend lost their cat. Their cat was also friendly, which meant it was easily lured. Don't let that happen, Op.

Cherryminion I just read the first half with your lost cat and i'm very happy that you found her! Also what's wrong with this neighbor? Most cats don't bite directly, especially most cats that come to you on the street and want to be pet. I never got bitten by any of them. Also even if she was bitten it's just a small cat bite? As long as it's not a stray cat nothing will happen. Did your neighbor even pet your cat? It sounded like only the daughter was petting your cat.

insomniaczombiex She sounds potentially dangerous. I'd keep your kitty inside because there's no telling what this wackadoodle will do.

Glorwen_79 Sounds like a crazy Karen that woman.

bexdporlap There is something wrong with that woman. How dare you walk around your own neighborhood. I feel bad for her daughter. I am glad you got your cat back. Be careful around that neighbor.

Capelily I feel sorry for the daughter. She's got no chance with a mother like that.

vkscp Make it clear that unless she has detailed information, such as photos and a report from the hospital that shows treatment for an animal attack (and it is signed clearly by a doctor that can be contacted), she has no case.
  • 22
Also make it clear that your cat was missing and what happened when you were looking for her. Then tell them that her autistic daughter petted your cat happily until her mother threw out accusations!
  • 23
Have all your kitties vet records handy (if you don't then phone your vet and explain what happened and ask them to email you your cats file so it shows she is well cared for).

If you take her out, video record your walk with your phone. If anyone says anything about it, you can tell them that you're making a YouTube video about harnessed cats and walking them. Let nice people pet the cat and tell them that you'll edit them out of the "video". That way if you see that crazy bitch again, you have video proof that the cat is not vicious towards anyone.

If you see her out and about, ignore her. Then if nobody turns up at your door by Wednesday next week, know that she's just trying to be a problem and you can easily deal with that! If you want any help with that then do let me know.
