Well, we feel like everything goes by super slowly for us.
Maybe it's just the midweek slump that's talking, but we honestly feel like every minute, every hour, and every day drag by soooo slow. Nothing we do seems to make time go by faster. We tried playing some upbeat music, we tried drinking coffee to increase our energy, and we even tried Facetiming our doggos for a wholesome pick-me-up (they didn't answer the call, sadly). Nothing helped. We are still stuck at work, and it still feels like we have 800 hours left until we get to go home.
Obviously, once the workday is done, the rest of the day flies by. As soon as we get home, our dogs take up most of our attention… and time. We take them out for their evening walk, we feed them, and we cuddle and play. Even though there is no other place we would rather be, we would still love to have a few more hours before it's time to start getting ready for the next day. A day that will also go by as slowly as possible.
Since we have enough on our hands once we get home, there is no need to look for ways to pass the time. During the day, however, we will try everything. Whatever makes the minutes and the hours go by, and whatever gets us closer to our dogs, is a blessing that we would never say no to.
The most recent activity that somehow speeds up the clock for us is scrolling through some hilarious dog memes. There is something about the silly faces of these doggos, and the funny concepts they represent, that helps us remove our constant surveillance of the ticking clock and just enjoy the time we are here. It's not much, and it's definitely not enough to speed up a full day of work, but it gives us the exact mood boost we need to get through the day.
