'I don't know how to handle this': Man's identity shattered after wife pushes him to do fun ancestry DNA test, discovers he has a half-brother, and that his "dad" isn't his biological father, causing huge family rift

I've heard of many romantic activities for couples, however, I'm not sure forcing your husband into doing an Ancestral DNA test is one of them…

Because, like this husband, he may discover a long-lost step-sibling he didn't know existed. In addition to uncovering that the man he thought was his father is not even biologically related to him. I mean, I think that's a lot to take in for a Thursday night, don't you think?

This man had never done DNA testing before, but his wife had always shown immense interest in understanding where she comes from. Because apparently, Rosewood Hospital is not enough. It took some convincing, and by some, I mean 'a lot.' But her husband finally agreed to take this test. Purely as an attempt to get her to stop nagging him about it. However, as he opened his results days later, his face dropped and paled simultaneously.

It told him that he had a perfect math, a half-brother. He reached out to his divorced parents, and his father was the one who eventually told him the truth about his childhood…or more specifically, the truth about his biological father. He felt equally confused as he felt betrayed, as he found himself contemplating which emotion felt worse. But the anger he felt towards his mother seemed to lie at the top of the list. Alongside, confusion and betrayal.

Well, let’s just say this wife is starting to have some serious regrets, and not the kind you can erase with a few laser sessions. This one is permanent. There’s no right or wrong way to process grief, especially when the people you’re grieving are your very much alive, “honest parents.” It takes more than a day to come to terms with the reality that you’ve lived your life alongside a massive secret you never even knew existed. And while this may not have been the most conventional way to uncover the truth, if such a way even exists, at least he learned the truth sooner rather than later.
