You truly never know what goes on in other people's houses until you see things like this. For example, you're in your home right now, reading Fail Blog and perhaps eating a snack or laying in your cozy bed. What a great choice you've made! Well done! But somewhere out there, there's a person who's planning to make a meal. They've just opened up a pack of provolone cheese, only to discover, to their horror and probably great amusement, that their cheese has giant holes cut through the center of them! Every piece has been inexplicably cored like a pineapple. They might just be stuck with those cheese "O"'s, since not every grocery store takes returns. I guess they're safe to eat? In cases like this, they'll just have to email the cheese manufacturer and they'll probably get a bunch of coupons in the mail. In the meantime, they probably can eat their extra-holed cheese… perhaps there's some kind of trendy recipe they can make with their oddball fromage.
One of my favorites from this week is a parent who got roped into their child's school candy sales. This kind of thing has been going on since the caveman days, more or less, though the prizes and items for sale change a lot. The flyer this parent received basically said if their kiddo sells at least $75 worth of candy, she'll get… wait for it… a "fancy chocolate egg pop wrapped in bright foil." Okay, sorry, hold on. This kid is expected to sell almost $75 worth of stuff just so she can get a single chocolate lollipop? What a hassle! This parent could take their daughter to the store and buy her all of the candy she desires, and it would still be more than the top prize here. If the kid sells between $800 to $999 worth of items, she gets a "tremendous" peanut butter cup (???), a handful of jelly beans, and a couple other little treats. For selling nearly $1k worth of stuff! At the bottom of the image, there is another tier for those selling $1k or more, but it's cut off. I can only imagine they get another little candy for all their hard work; maybe the kids who sell $2 worth get a pack of chewing gum. These poor parents… I hope they can opt out of this ridiculous sale.
Those are just a couple random peeks into other people's lives! Scroll down to check out a bunch of mildly infuriating things that happened to people this week!
