Part of the “big-eared bat” club, Corynorhinus uses those glorious satellite dishes for pinpoint echolocation, catching the faintest echoes of fluttering moth wings in the dark. Some say this bat’s ears are so big that he has heard your thoughts from two years in the future, but in reality, they help him hunt with incredible precision while flying slowly and gracefully. Found across North America, Corynorhinus prefers caves, mines, and quiet hideouts where he can nap, listen to everything, and absolutely judge you - lovingly, of course - with ears first.
