Right now, while we are all young and surrounded by our friends and family, we don't really feel that alone. We see people when we go to work, we meet with friends, and we have family members to talk to. However, the older we get, the smaller these circles become. When you retire, you don't get to see your coworkers anymore, and your family drifts apart as they themselves grow up and start families of their own.
This leads many elderly people to seek companionship elsewhere, and boy, do we have the perfect solution.
The sweet grandpa below just moved into a new apartment, and he felt the need not to be alone. So, he turned to the local shelter with a special request–he wanted to see the cat that was there the longest. The staff led the old man to an adorable and shy-looking orange girl.
When we tell you that our heart skipped a beat when we saw the first meeting between this sweet orange cat and this grumpy old man, we mean it. Instantly, they had a connection that is hard to put into words. It was clear that the fluffy feline wanted to be loved, and Granpa John had so much love to offer. 20 minutes after they met, Grandpa John had sweet Tina Marie sitting on his lap, on their way to her new home.
The fact that a kind-hearted Grandpa can cure his loneliness by saving the life of an adorable cat is bringing tears to our eyes and inspires us to look at the future and see the opportunity there to connect with so many beautiful souls, just like Grandpa John and Tina Marie did.
Grandpa John's family kept posting videos to update the world about this heartwarming companionship, so keep scrolling to see the full tale. After that, if you have a lonely elderly person in your life, maybe take them to the local animal shelter and find them a fluffy soulmate; they might really need it.
