One thing that we have learned over our time as cat owners that we didn't know before we got a cat is that… cats really do understand. They know when you are hurting, they know when you need emotional support. They don't always give it, of course, they are picky with when they give out their affection sometimes. But when you really need them, when you truly need to lay your head on their fluffy, soft little backs and just- pause to breathe in, they let you do it. They are there for you. And that is something that we think is absolutely amazing.

It really does sound like the two of you needed each other, and we're telling you - from experience - that one day, years in the future, or maybe even now, you will be telling this story like that whole night was meowgic. You will say that the two of you not only needed each other, but that you saved each other's lives - you saving the kitty from the cold, and the kitty saving you from despair. We are so happy that you found one another, and we wish you both many, many happy and healthy years together.
