We have read a whole lot of stories about cats walking into people's homes and adopting them, and we have read stories about people adopting bonded pairs of cats, but we don't think that we have ever encountered a story quite like this one. The fact that these two have been living their lives togther, surviving together, scheming together, and the two of them - at the same time - chose to be adopted by you… that is amazing. That is a sign, really, if we have ever seen one. All of you are meant to be together, and your time together is going to be the best you've ever had.

People are not kidding when they define some cats as bonded pairs. They really are bonded. They really do see each other as inseparable parts of each other's lives. When shelters point at a pair of cats and say that these two should not be separated from one another, that is something that should be respected. Forever homes are important, but breaking up bonded pairs so that one could go into a home while the other one stays, is not an option. And it is certainly not a kindness for the cats. Take both or leave both.
