Is the cat mad because their hooman lost the game, or are they mad because the hooman is playing the game and not paying attention to them? The thing with cats is that both truths can be true at once. The cat can simultaneously want attention from their hooman, while still taking pride in the fact that their hooman is winning on the metal box, supposedly “hunting” for more tuna for them. But in the end, the hooman didn't win and the cat didn't get any attention, therefore, the cat is rightfully grumpy.

This is why we never keep sharp objects lying around in the house, you just never know when your cat will have had enough and start to take control.
