Even if you don't like winter, you are sure to like cats!
Winter is a season that introverts tend to veer towards. If you're someone who likes to cuddle up in bed rather than go out partying, then you're probably a winter person. Winter is for resting, for introspection, for slowing down and being forced to stay inside while a thunder storm is happening outside your window. So how does one stay crazy, cute, and cat-like in the winter? By embracing their snuggly, cuddly, and cozy nature. Just get your cat to lay with you, pile a bunch of blankets on your bed to tempt him into a purrito shape. The image of your cat bundled up like a burrito should be a mirror to your inner mood – winter cutie.
Feeling overwhelmed is a part of life, so if winter offers the space and safety to slow down and hibernate, better take it while it's hot (or cold). Your cat can have 4 am zoomies, but you'll still stay fast asleep and honoring the part of you that needs real rest. What makes winter and cats so captivating is their strange parallels that combine with their juxtaposition of nature. Cats are inherently cozy and cuddly, but they're also inherently demented, aggressive, mischievous, chaotic, and capricious natures. Their floofy cuteness can be so misleading when you find them tearing your toilet paper to shreds. That stuff isn't so cheap, Mr. Whiskers! While winter has its ups and downs of dark rooms and crisp air, cats also ebb and flow through states of happy, sad, crazy, and sleepy.
Winter has only just begun, so it's time to embrace what you can and get everything out of it that you'd ever want. Enjoy the holiday madness, the nascent start of a new year, and the sleepy, sad weather outside. No matter where you are in the world, there are ups and downs, and times to frolic in grass, as well as chill inside with the kitty. Cats have an innate ability to make us cozy no matter where we are, what we're doing, or anything else.
