    Why improve on purrfection?

    January is always full of New Year's resolutions. You may want to get back into the gym, start a new hobby, or cut down your sugar intake, but it's always about making this year better than the last one. Cats, however, would never understand the concept of a New Year's resolution because they believe that they are already purrfect. They're soft, fluffy, cute, get fed multiple free meals per day, and are treated like royalty in their households… so why wouldn't they believe that? There is no reason for them to try to improve because how can you improve something that's already purrfect? 

    Well, on one hand, they're right. There is nothing we could do to make them cuter, cuddlier, or fluffier. But, if you ask us, there is some room for impurrovement there. We wouldn't mind if one of their New Year's resolutions was to stop chewing on cables, or to finally drink from their water bowl instead of our glasses of water. We also wouldn't mind them resolving to sleep somewhere other than on our faces at night. But, these are minor things, and every cat owner knows that it's nearly impawssible to change your cat's habits.

    It may be a new year for us, but we're still going to have the same old kitty chaos that we know and love in 2026. New year, new us, but we still have to pspspsps our cats to get us to come to us instead of calling out their names. Some things never change.
