Blue collar worker volunteers some time to help figure out scheduling for his team, entitled colleague now demands his time on all of his days off: ‘My dude... It's my day off!’

It doesn't always feel like it, but there are people out there who are working for the employees in the workplace. This man was volunteering his time to help the higher ups with managing the scheduling. Currently, everyone was basically working 24/7 and it was getting out of hand. So, there were meetings after meetings for months about this. The man volunteering his time was making sure that the regular employees were being heard so that the scheduling will help them out as best as it can. It isn't all about the management teams and CEOs. In fact, any company would fall to pieces if it weren't for their everyday employees. 

So, he was coming in, for free, volunteering some of his time to make sure that the teams he works with get appropriately scheduled. He didn't have to to this, but he cared about his fellow blue collar workers, so he made sure to be there as often as he can. Unfortunately, this gave one entitled middle management employee the audacity to reach out to him with demands. On his day off… Through Facebook! The absurdity just keeps growing. 

This man had no right to even reach out to this employee. He was not on the clock and he was not in the meeting volunteering his time that day. But also, he didn't even work directly with him, so like… Why are you even talking to him? Let alone, going on Facebook, a completely unprofessional site, to find him and talk shop. Actually, you weren't even talking, you were shouting demands at him via a way-too-long Facebook messenger app… What in tarnation?

Of course, the volunteer employee ignored this entitled colleague, but the damage was done.
