The time around Christmas is a great time to be sharing your life with cats. While there is every chance that they will be trying to climb the tree, hunt down baubles, and beg you for scraps of turkey until you can't take it anymore, there is nothing cozier than snuggling up with our feline friends in the middle of the festive season. Cheesy the sentiment may be, but it is one of the greatest gifts of all (for those who are cat lovers, at least).
That being said, not everybody is so lucky as to share their lives with a feline friend in this way. Also, spending the holidays with cats is not the only way to appreciate them. One of the oldest and most established subgenres of memes that is still going strong, cat memes promise to put a smile on the face of just about anybody with a penchant for internet humor, even if they do not happen to be a cat person. No matter how many iterations the online world goes through, kitties still rule it. This Christmas and at any other time, we would not want it to be any other way.
