25 Pics of Cute Canines and Their Even Cuter Nicknames

It is no great secret that us pupper pawrents go a little crazy with the nicknames that we like to bestow upon our puppers. Perhaps it has something to do with the somewhat casual way in which we choose our canine child's name, or perhaps it has to do with our perception of their lack of understanding of the hooman language. But however it happens, we tend to end up with a myriad of nicknames for our cute canines.

Most of them utterly unintelligible, some of them made up on the spot and forgotten almost as quickly as we made them, and some that will stand the test of time and might even be transferred to the canine children that will come once our current canines cross that rainbow bridge. And so to encourage the giving of these outlandish and creative nicknames we made this list of the pawdorable names pupper pawrents have come up with for their pups.

Well, at a certain point this has to get confusing for the pupper. Not that we are clued up as to how many hooman words a dog is able to recognize, but this already feels as though it might be pushing the limits. That being said Hoppelmoppel is a brilliant nickname.

Ok, this is a little too close to the line for us. At a certain point you have to understand that your words while not totally intelligible to your pupper do have a certain sentiment attached to them. And with that much negativity, you could quite easily end up offending your poor pupper, no?
