This is why we always say it: adopt, don't shop. There are so many dogs in shelters that some are literally being turned away because there's not enough interest in adopting dogs. We get it - golden retrievers are great dogs. Labs are excellent. But so are all these mutts, if you would just give them a chance. There's no such thing as a bad dog, just uneducated owners.

Huskies do love being outside. We had a husky growing up, and sometimes, he preferred to sleep outside, especially when it was cold out. We even had to warn the neighbors so they wouldn't call animal services or the police. We asked him at least 20 times if he wanted to come in before we went to bed, and most times, he said wouldn't move. Don't worry, there was a dog door installed so he could come in even if we were asleep.

But, just because they do enjoy being outdoors doesn't mean that they should live outdoors permanently. They need a home, a perfectly plushy bed, and a place to call their own.
