    Daughter's 7-year-old dog returned after an accidental theft caused a fraudulent rescue, resulting in a roadside abandonment where the Yorkie’s true rescuer stepped in to finally bring the pup home

    Much like dogs themselves, dog rescues come in all shapes and sizes. And this pawticular rescue certainly seems to match the doggo involved. Short, sweet, complicated, and confusing. For this rescue story is one that is multi-layered, beginning with the initial escape of the doggo from her home, a genuine accident that caused a misguided good Samaritan to think that they were helping by picking her up and taking the dog home with them. This was then followed by a similarly naive relinquishing of the found pupper to people who turned out to not be the dog's rightful pawrents and instead hoped to breed the purebred doggo.

    But upon finding out that their plan was a bust, they dumped the doggo by the roadside, which is where our final and true rescuer stepped in after seeing the dog being ejected from a vehicle. Honestly, you cannot make this stuff up, but at least the poor pupper was not subjected to this madness for all too long, and within a matter of a few days, this whole harrowing debacle had passed. Making the moral of the story to put a tag on your dog's collar with your phone number. This could have all been so easily avoided.

    • Well, all we can say is that if this doggo who has been mysteriously thrown out of a car and left to the streets, is obsessed solely with the two cats that she has been placed beside in her rescue home, then things must be relatively ok. Considering the general conditions that this rescue happened under, it is rather mind-blowing that the doggo is not traumatized.
