Sweet rescuer finds injured cat huddled under his car, he immediately takes him in and watches him transition from shy and scared, to playful and loving: 'He made a very speedy recovery'

It's been 15 months since the cat distribution system gave this wholesome hooman a new friend and companion. It all started when he saw a cat huddled under his car, he had been in clear fights with feral cats and had an eye and ear injuries. He rushed the cat to the vet, where he was treated for his injuries and dewormed. He made a very speedy recovery, but was slow to get accustomed to home life after being a stray. His name is Magpie, and he was shy at first, but warmed up to the other cats and his new cat dad quickly. He started eating better and gained some much needed weight, and even showed a playful side with the other cats. His fur is even fluffier and fluffier. 

Taking in a stray isn't a given, and the fact that this sweet hooman not only found the cat and brought him to the vet, but decided to keep him furrever is a testament to the positive aspects of the world.
