Family dog alerts his owners to an injured kitten he found in the backyard, they cancel their Christmas trip to take care of their new itty bitty holiday meowracle
It's finally cold outside. Cold and festive. This is one of our favorite periods of the year for the obvious reasons and for the less obvious ones. Like the fact that this is the best time of year to cuddle under blankets with our cats. We're cold, they're cold, and the two best sources of heat in the house are the blankets and the humans, so we become their favorite napping spots. Of course, as fun as it may be to be inside when it's cold, this is also an important time to keep an eye and an ear out, because outside, there are no blankets for lost kittens to hide under.

70-year-old live-in aunt lets the domestic cats out in the forest, despite repeated requests from her bills-paying 32-year-old niece
We're not saying we're mad at a person that we've never met, but… yes. Yes, we do. We're very mad at this old lady and her disregard for the cats' well-being. They're not her cats, but she has lived with them for about five years. That's five years filled with feline delight and floofy happiness. You'd expect that after five years of living in a house with cats, the live-in person will develop some kind of cordial relationship with the cats, at least. But, buffleingly enough, not in this case.

How far will you go for your love of cats? Most of us would happily do anything for our fluffy felines, but we're also not allergic to them. But imagine that you are, for a second. The thing in life that you want the most makes you sneeze nonstop, making life purractically unbearable. Most people would give up there, but not this cat lover below. He spent three years getting allergy shots to build his immunity to cat dander, all so he could have a cute kitty of his own. Recently, he went and adopted his first rescue kitten, 'Legolas', and we literally couldn't be happier for him.

Person goes on a walk with their senior dog when, out of nowhere, a gray cat pops out of the nearby sewer and follows them home
We keep telling people, especially cat people, that is it important to stay vigilant. The CDS can get you anywhere and at any time. The CDS, for all the non-cat people out there, is the Cat Distribution System, and the CDS has no mercy. It doesn't matter where you are, what stage in your life you're at, whether you want a cat or not, if the CDS chooses you, there will be no mercy. You will be adopted by a cat.

The story of the black void kitten who crawled into the lives of a family one snowy night and became their source of healing and love, leaving behind a legacy of selfless love
The holiday season is a time for uplifting tales as much as it is for the saddest and toughest of tales. And while we usually bring you some of the more cheery chronicles of cats, we wanted to highlight one heartbreaking and heartwarming story that showed off just how sensitive and kind the Cat Distribution System and cats as a species can be. For this tale tells the story of the kitten who stumbled into an open door amidst copious amounts of snow into a home that desperately needed him. And in doing so, he was able to support several people through some of the toughest times in their lives. Making an everlasting paw print on their souls.

29-year-old cat fools cat-sitter into carrying, spoonfeeding and snuggling her by acting confused and disoriented
One of the things that we tell people who have never owned cats and are looking to adopt - one of the things that we warn them about - is that cats come in two categories. Cats can either be silly little adorable dudes and dudettes who do not have a single thought in their heads, or cats can be smart. Really really smart. Unexpectedly so. And the 29-year-old in this story might be one of the smartest. And funniest.
