    Should there be a time limit on gym showers? 

    It's always good to be courteous, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Last year, my hot water was out for a couple of weeks (I know), and I definitely used the shower at the gym. I tried to be conscious of my time in there, but I also desperately needed a hot shower. But just like gym equipment, showers are shared by everyone. You don't want to be that guy who spends all day in there, angering his fellow gym goers. But what constitutes how long? What if it's in the middle of the day and there are four other showers available? 

    That's why this story became such a hot-button discourse, because nobody could agree whether or not this person was taking advantage of the system or not. The way she saw it, she was exercising her right to use her very expensive gym shower. The way others saw it, she was doing way too much and wasting valuable resources. Others clearly needed to be in there, given all the knocking, but that didn't stop her.
