Dogs have more fur than you'd think. Like obedient, loyal, carnivorous sheep, many dogs require a monthly trip to the groomers to keep their floof in line. If that grooming upkeep is neglected, the poor pup can get buried in their own fleece, watching it grow over their eyes, their snoot, and making their entire body heavier than a sopping wet towel.
Stray dogs obviously don't get this kind of care, so when years of matting built up on this poor white Maltese, he was hardly recognizable. Resembling a lost footstool or even a wayward pillow in the wind, this scraggly stray dog was so overgrown and matted that he couldn't see his rescuers… or the racing street they found him on.
Wandering the roads at night, this pup inadvertently found a forever home. And after losing 15lbs in dense, dreadlocked fur, he was lighter than air and on a path to a brand new life. Renewed, rejuvenated, and completely sheared, this couple found more than just a puff ball on the street, but a sweet, lamby pup ready to love them back.
