Some siblings just have to be in the limelight. Unaccustomed to taking the back seat in the family, this gossipy sister was always the type to make everything about her. Any achievement from her sibling or any of her cousins was flipped and twisted into a tale that she could garnish glory for… Even her own sister's pregnancy announcement.
Pregnant women have their own set of rules in the world. They're allowed to act cuckoo, sit on the bus, and generally take charge of any situation in any way they see fit. Frankly, they're building a human life in their womb; they deserve it. So when this pregnant woman and her husband decided that they wanted to tell the whole family (at the same time) about their exciting news, it was entirely their prerogative.
For health and mental stability reasons, they wanted to share the news on Thanksgiving, but when the spotlight-stealing sister heard the good news, she was far from thrilled. Instead of sharing in their joy, she made the whole fiasco about herself, which pretty much confirmed the reasons why she was left in the dark in the first place.
